Conventional baluster form, engraved arms of the MacDONALD family of Slate or Sleat, Isle of Skye, pull-off cover with spiral flutes and alternating pierced bands of scrolls and flower heads, with wrythen finial, height 25.5cm, weight 21.6oz.

These are the arms of the MacDONALD family of Slate or Sleat, Isle of Skye. The main paternal family at Slate were in 1625 created Baronets.
