A collection of silver items including a brandy bowl and other table items
William Bateman, London 1823
Circular form, a lift-off domed cover surmounted by a wooden disc finial, chased with concentric rings around the rim, a silver mounted wood-turned handle at right angles to the open spout, all on a collet foot, together with a George III silver wine funnel Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard, London 1819, of traditional form, with pierced interior, part lobed exterior and gadrooned rim; also including a Victorian silver toast rack, Charles Boyton, London 1875 and 1876; four George III silver salts, William Abdy, London 1805, navette form, with pierced sides and blue glass interiors, on four raised feet; a pair of Victorian silver cauldron salts, Cooper Brothers, Sheffield 1893, and finally two modern silver scallop shell form butter dishes, with gilt interiors.
