A pair of George III silver open salts

Each oval form with flaring shell, acanthus and anthemion embellished gadrooned rim, interiors gilt, raised on four wing-capped scrolling paw feet, engraved crest a hare sable supporting a garb, underside also stamped 494, length 13cm, weight 12.5oz.
