Footnotes

The paternal arms are those used by the STONE of London, having been granted the arms in 1583.
Two sons of Andrew STONE (died 1712) a goldsmith and Ann HOLBROOKE (died 1716) are recorded as Richard STONE (1705-1763) who in 1737 married Mary HARRIS (1715-1782) and George STONE (1708-1764), who was Primate of all Ireland as Bishop of Armagh in the period of 1747-1764 and it is he who the arms are likely to refer to.
