Lower Burma (Myanmar) circa 1900, mark of peacock in full display
Of traditional form, the body embossed in high and low relief with traditionally dressed figures depicting scenes from the Ramayana, featuring temples, trees, a beheading, all against a stippled ground, a coriander-leaf border below, and to the underside a peacock in full display, height 19cm, diameter 30cm, weight 64oz.
