A French Louis XVI silver sugar bowl and cover

rubbed maker's mark 'IC' probably for Ignace Colombier, Marseilles 1782, later 800 guarantee mark to rim
Plain inverted pear-shaped form, with detachable domed cover featuring a cast strawberry finial, on either side an applied looped handle emerging from embossed leaf mounts, the whole plain polished, on four scroll feet, together with a provincial silver wine taster, maker's marks rubbed, French provinces circa 1819, stamped 1st guarantee mark, traditional form, weight 17oz.
