silver cover unknown maker 'E:Ƨ', possibly Scandinavian circa 1800
Of cylindrical form, an English copper lustre ware pottery mug with cobalt blue central band flecked with gold floral sprays, topped by a hinged possibly Scandinavian silver domed cover, inset with a silver-gilt French commemorative medal of 'BUONOPARTE GENERAL EN CHEF DE LA BRAVE ARMEE DITALLIE' dated 1796 featuring Napoleon Bonaparte, and a mythical fish-tailed horse thumbpiece, height 19cm, diameter 10.5cm.
