A matched pair of late 19th century Meissen porcelain figural groups of children emblematic of Autumn and Winter

both clad in 18th century dress and enamelled in pastel colours, the former group modelled as a standing girl holding a mandolin and clad in a floral encrusted garland beside a boy seated on a sheaf of wheat, the latter modelled as a standing girl warming her hands on a brazier besides a boy seated on a sleigh, on naturalistic oval bases, with foliate and gilt decorated borders, the undersides with underglaze blue crossed swords marks, the former with with incised mark G92 the latter with scratched cancellation mark and old inherent firing crack and incised G94, 16cm high overall (2)
