the winged figures depicting standing and seated holding a telescope and charts and reading and writing, the central pedestal with a celestial globe, on a naturalistic rock work base with shaped ribbon tied wreath and moulded gilt Vitruvian scroll border decorated integral plinth, the underside with underglaze blue crossed swords mark, incised mark No.9. and impressed number 21, 19.5cm high
