after an 18th century model by M.V. Acier
the figures embracing before a bust caryatid of Bacchus, flanked by a lamb and dog, the rear with a further figure of a rival gentleman and a putto holding a floral garland above a cradle, the whole enamelled in pastel colours with gilt highlights on a rustic base with foliate gilt border, the underside with blue crossed swords mark incised and impressed numbers and letters G.34, 163 and 52, and with a red painted number 19, 34.5cm high
