A late 19th century French brass carriage clock with repeat
the movement stamped E Maurice and Co
the Anglais case with angular key and reeded handle, the 2'' silvered Roman dial set within an integral rectangular mask with blued steel hands, the brass twin drum movement with jewelled silvered platform lever escapement with compensated balance, striking on a steel gong, the backplate engraved E.M & Co, FRENCH MAKE and number 3063, together with the original leather travelling case (now as found) and brass winder, height with handle 18.5cm high
