A pair of third quarter 19th century French gilt bronze mounted porcelain alcove vases

of baluster form with scalloped flared rims, and with scrolling acanthus leaf handles, each painted in polychrome enamels with an oval panel, one depicting an 18th century gallant playing a flute to his female companion, the other with a gardener offering a basket of fruits to his female companion, both reserved on turquoise ground decorated with trailing convolvulus, mounted within elaborate floral garland and oval cartouche cast socle bases raised on lobed toupie feet, (some wear to gilding), 58cm high overall (2)
