A matched set of eight French giltwood and ebonised salon chaises or drawing room chairs
four chairs late 19th century, the other four chairs apparently later
Each with ring turned fluted and foliate clasped baluster uprights headed by scrolled stiff leaf carved blocks, the four 19th century chairs on ring turned and fluted tapering front legs, the four later chairs with plain ring turned baluster tapering front legs, all front legs terminating in castors, on partly splayed rear legs, each approximately: 51cm wide x 54cm deep x 81cm high, (20in wide x 21in deep x 31 1/2in high) (8)
