the backplate signed and numbered Leroy & Fils, 1228
rectangular case with moulded cornice and stylised foliate handle, the front flanked by twin pilasters with Corinthian capitals, on inverted breakfront bases and bun feet, the silvered Roman dial with half-moon, blued steel hands, the twin spring barrel movement with anchor escapement and outside count wheel striking on a bell, the backplate stamped on the left side No. 1228 Leroy & Fils Hgers du Roi A Paris and to the bottom Pouyon, 25cms high
