Footnotes

Broadside Art, Inc., New York, was a publishing company co-founded by the arts patron Marion Javits and graphic designer Milton Glaser. The prime objective was to publish affordable overscale editions using the available commercial printmaking processes of the time. Rauschenberg's Autobiography set was one of the first projects produced. At the publisher's release in 1968, one set of this edition was installed vertically at the Whitney Museum in New York.
