A Late 18th Century British Naval Officer's Small Sword and an Unrelated Scabbard

The small sword with gilded brass hilt, oval counter-guard engraved on the top face with a fouled anchors and British naval flags, mortars, crossed guns, and polearms, knuckle bow with crossed flags, urn shaped pommel engraved with a crown and mortar, silver wire wrapped grip, straight triangular blade etched foliate and panoply of arms decoration and inscribed "Me/Fecit/Solingen"; with an unrelated iron scabbard with two suspension rings.
Blade lg. 31 1/2, overall lg. 38 in.
