American Horseman's Saber
Second half of the 18th century

The iron hilt with slotted counter-guard, the inboard side largely removed as well as two outboard branches, pierced tapering knuckle bow connected to a round pommel, ray skin and copper ribbon wrapped grip; straight single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and one narrow fuller.
Blade lg. 28 3/8, overall lg. 34 3/4 in.
