British New Land Pattern Pistol

8 7/8 in., .68 caliber round barrel with ring decoration at the breech, crown over "IVR" proof mark, and crown over "B" inspector's mark; flat double bridle lock, the stepped rounded tail with sliding safety bolt, stamped below the pan with a crown over "WR" and crown over broad arrow government ownership mark, the inside of the lock stamped "MP" and with a crown over "7" inspector's mark and partial other marks, and "IIII" assembly number; walnut stock with broad arrow over "BO" mark just above the rear of the lock plate mortice, two crowned inspector's marks near the trigger guard, the inside of the lock mortice with assembly number "IIII," the side plate flat marked "JI" and "E. TURNER"; brass furniture including a butt cap, trigger guard with blunt finial, "S" shaped side plate, and tapering cast brass entry pipe; iron swivel rammer with large disk head and marked with a crown just below the head and assembly number "IIII" at the end.
