12 in., .58 caliber round barrel with ring decorated breech, ordnance proof marks and crowned inspector's mark; flat double bridle lock with double line border, the pointed tail stamped "TOWER" and with crown over "GR" and crown over "2" marks below the pan, assembly numbers on the inside of the lock plate; walnut stock with storekeeper's mark on the wrist, inspector's marks and assembly mark in the rammer channel, and crown over "JR" behind the trigger guard indicating Portuguese use during the Peninsular War; brass furniture including butt cap with short ears, trigger guard with acorn finial, side plate with scrolling tail, single tapering cast brass rammer pipe, steel belt hook stamped with a crown on the tail and assembly numbers on the inside surface; later wood rammer.
