Early English Cavalry Sword
Circa 1700

Brass hilt with molded bilobate counter-guard decorated with figures and animals on the inside and outside, short quillon, two serpentine branches on each side of the central knuckle bow connecting to a molded spherical pommel, wood grip lacking the wire wrapping; the straight single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and single narrow fuller, partial fleur-de-lis mark on one side.
Blade lg. 29 1/2, overall lg. 36 in.
