Brass Barreled English Yeomanry Pistol
London, third quarter of the 18th century

9 in., .65 caliber round brass barrel with view and proof marks of the London Company of Gunmaker's on the left side of the breech along with a crown over "F" maker's mark, iron tang with shell engraving; straight slightly convex single bridle lock with double line border engraving, foliate decoration on the tail and "FISHER" below the pan, the interior unmarked; walnut stock with carved scrolling and foliate plateau around the breech plug tang; brass furniture including a butt cap with foliate spur, trigger guard with foliate finial and engraved oval device on the bow, openwork shield and foliate side plate, barrel form sheet brass rammer and entry pipe, wood rammer.
