"They've done a limited edition of a thousand on this, it's 7-inch single, mine is number 470 so there's still time for you to get in there"
- John Peel, John Peel Show, 2 January 1989.
The above introduction leads to John Peel featuring Nirvana on his show for the very first time - the B-side Big Cheese - using the present record. With his usual prescience he declares the record to be "well worth tracking down", before playing a 1967 release, Pentecost Hotel, by a British rock band, also called Nirvana. Nirvana recorded three 'Peel Sessions' between 1989 and 1991, and all three were played on the John Peel Show on the 22nd April 1994, in tribute to Kurt Cobain.
