PHOTOGRAPHING THE MOON.
Group of 6 vintage large-format NASA silver gelatin print photographs, 16 x 20 each.

Apollo 10 was the dress rehearsal for the Apollo 11 lunar landing. Astronauts Tom Stafford and Gene Cernan flew in the Lunar Module and performed the descent orbit insertion maneuver, tested the spacecraft's landing radar and surveyed the Sea of Tranquility, where the Apollo 11 Lunar Module would land two months later. The present group come from the 70mm black and white magazines and include shots of Rima Ariadaeus, Arago, Basin IX, etc.
