A VERY RARE MEISSEN HAUSMALER TEAPOT AND COVER, THE PORCELAIN CIRCA 1720, THE DECORATION SLIGHTLY LATER

Decorated in Augsburg with four hunting scenes after Ridinger, in the workshop of Abraham Seuter, moulded with a grotesque mask at the base of the spout, picked out in gilding on the eyes and mouth, a moulded band of tasselled lambrequins, alternated by the four hunting scenes in grisaille and iron-red and incarnate, the domed cover with similar scenes and moulded flower sprigs, picked out in gilding, 13cm high, (cover restored, filled in chips to edge of rim of pot) (2)
