TASSE A DEUX ANSES ET SOUCOUPE, MEISSEN HAUSMALER, VERS 1725
A MEISSEN HAUSMALER DOUBLE-HANDLED BEAKER AND SAUCER, CIRCA 1725
Decorated in Augsburg in the Seuter workshop, the beaker with ear-shaped handles, the saucer with fluted moulding to the reverse embellished in gold with scrollwork, dots and single panels, both saucer and cup decorated with detailed chinoiserie scenes in tooled gilding including two chinoiserie figures seated at a table and the reverse with two figures admiring an elaborate tea tray placed on a low table, the saucer with three figures near a fountain, set in a quatrefoil cartouche of solid gilding, the interior of the cup also gilt, the beaker: 8.3cm high (minor rubbing) (2)
