In his letter of 8 February 1966, Roberto Longhi suggested at attribution to the young Bernardo Strozzi, on the basis of a photograph. He mentions that he had previously seen the painting in a private collection, Rome.

We are grateful to Dr. Camillo Manzitti for proposing the attribution to Ermanno Stroiffi on the basis of digital photographs (5 September 2022).

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first €40,000 of the Hammer Price
27% from €40,001 to €800,000 the Hammer Price
21% from €800,001 to €4,500,000 the Hammer Price
14.5% on the excess over €4,500,000 of the Hammer Price
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
TVA at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges.
