COUPE EN ARGENT ET VERMEIL, ALLEMAGNE, FIN XVIIe / DEBUT XVIIIe SIECLE

A SILVER AND PARCEL-GILT BEAKER
unmarked, German, possibly Nuremberg, late 17th / early 18th century

Cylindrical with slightly tapering sides, profusely engraved and chased with ribbon tied bows supporting acanthus leaf and fruits, all among a fine engraved ground on swirling scrolls, on three fluted pomegranate ball supports, height 8.8cm, weight 167gms.
