Tibia de raptor

Raptor Leg Bone

Chirostenotes pergracilis
Hell Creek Formation, Montana, USA

Virtually complete leg bone (tibia) with good surface texture and patination. The two-toned coloration was caused by half of this specimen being exposed to the elements while the other half was buried.

Chirostenotes was a carnivorous bird-like dinosaur, a member of the Elmisaurid family. The oviraptorid theropod genus displayed a parrot-like head with toothless beak, long, powerful legs and long, narrow fingers. Chirostenotes is theorized to have possessed feathers. It grew to approximately the size of an adult human but weighed much less than the average man. Height 35cm. Height overall with stand: 39.5 cm (2)

Offered with a custom-fitted black metal stand.
