Fossilized Scallops with Sea Urchin

The rectangular beige coloured panel naturally accumulated and layered with ivory-white fossilised scallops (Pectinidae) with structured striations of varying sizes featuring an a sea urchin as well. This beautiful, large block of ivory-colored limestone, or marine clastic sedimentary rock also called molasse, features an accumulation of adult scallop fossils originating from the era, approximately when the group of marine mollusks (ammonites) went extinct. Weighing approximately 41 kilograms and measuring 70 x 41 x 19 cm
