Rare, Immense Ammonite with Stand

Lytoceras sp., (Suess, 1865)
Jurassic (208-146myo)
Sakahara, near Toliara (Tulear), Madagascar

A nektonic carivore, these cephalopods were fast-moving despite their large size. Rare in this extremely large size and as well as for its natural color, the present massive ammonite, with its exceptional diameter of 70cm, sports an incredible original preserved golden-brown shell. The Lytoceras ammonite is a highly decorative accent in interior design, well-suited to the modern lifestyle as a natural sculpture and the present specimen will make a stunning, unique architectural statement. Diameter 70 cm, width 20 cm. Weighing 85 Kg. (2)
