A Sèvres orange-ground cup and saucer, circa 1820

Decorated in shades of brown and heightened in gilding with scattered stylised flowerheads between a geometrical border and a foliate frieze under the gilt rim, the cup applied with a gilt loop handle, the cup: 6.8cm high; 16.5cm diam., faint interlaced LL monograms enclosing a fleur-de-lys/Sevres stencilled in blue, gu. in iron-red, gu 11 mai in gilding, incised marks (2)
