A Sèvres shell-shaped salt, circa 1825

Possibly after a design by Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard, the shell decorated in blue heightened in gilding supported on the head of a mythical gilt sea-lion, on a square base decorated in imitation of porphyry, 9.4cm high, interlaced LL monogram enclosing a fleur-de-lys stencilled in blue, faint gilt mark (tiny chip to corner of base)
