A Sèvres maroon-ground cup and saucer, circa 1817

The maroon-ground decorated with a border of gilt husks and flowerheads, a lilac-ground band between gilt lines decorated with a foliate border with blue flowers around the rims, the cup with a gilt handle terminating in a moulded anthemion, the cup: 7.5cm high; the saucer: 15.4cm diam., interlaced LL monograms enclosing a fleur-de-lys/Sevres stencilled in blue to the saucer, incised Ad to both, incised DS6 to the saucer and DS10 to the cup (minor scratches to saucer) (2)
