A Chantilly plate from the service made for Louis-Philippe, duc d'Orleans, for the château at Villers-Cotterêts, circa 1770

Painted in blue with the crown cipher of Louis-Philippe made up of flower garlands, the lobed rim with garlands hanging from tied bows, 24.4cm diam., horn mark and R in blue, 'Villers Cotteret' in blue and incised horn mark (minor glaze wear)
