A Meissen figural cane handle, 19th century

Modelled with the head of a woman wearing a headscarf and black lace veil, the rest of the handle moulded with gilt-edged rocailles heightened in pale pink and green and painted with flowers, mounted on an ebony shaft with gilt metal ring and horn ferrule, the handle: 12.5cm wide; the full cane: 95cm long
