A Chelsea porcelain cane handle, mid 18th century

Modelled by Joseph Willems in the form of a lady's head, turned slightly to her right, her long hair tied into a bun at the back and trailing around her neck and collar, moulded flowers in her hair and around her neck picked out in polychrome shades, mounted on a Malacca shaft with brass ferrule, the handle: 7cm high; the full cane: 91.6cm long (tiny haircrack to edge)
