A Closter Veilsdorf figural cane handle, circa 1770

Modelled with a putto climbing up the handle reaching towards another putto lying on top of the handle with his head going through the moulded rocailles, the sides moulded with puce scrollwork and flowers, mounted on an ebonised shaft with metal ferrule, the handle: 7.5cm high; the full cane: 94cm long
