Footnotes

Produced between 1981 and 1983, the Motocompo was marketed as a 'Trunk Bike' (trabai) to fit inside the trunk (boot) of small hatchbacks such as the Honda Today and Honda City. Indeed, the Motocompo was designed to be a perfect fit inside the latter's luggage compartment. With the handlebars, seat, and footrests folded into its rectangular plastic body, the Motocompo presents itself as a streamlined box measuring approximately 1,185x240x540mm (L/W/H). Available in a choice of three colours: Shetland White, Daisy Yellow and Caribbean Red, it is the smallest scooter ever built by Honda. The speedometer was calibrated to 50km/h though speeds from 30km/h upwards were marked in red. In excess of 53,000 Motocompos had been sold by the end of production. Today, the charming little Motocompo enjoys cult status among collectors of miniature motorcycles.

Finished in Shetland White, the Motocompo offered here is described as highly original and in very good condition for its age. Never restored, it would enhance any private collection while also being the perfect auxiliary transport for trips by car, camper-van, or boat.
