Goggled Head is a wonderful example of the artist combining her interest in printmaking and sculpture. Her preferred printing method was etching, as this involved cutting into a copper plate and therefore shared similarities with sculptural processes. The plate was cut to the shape of the head and a series of deeply etched lines carefully placed to create the form.
