APOLLO CAMERA ORGANIZER
Camera organizing cube with multiple labeled compartments on 3 sides, latex-type material, part no V36-758875-21, with cloth straps affixed to two sides, approximately 240 x 203 x 195 overall.
Provenance: Purchased as surplus by a North American Rockwell engineer.
Interesting multi-compartment organizing insert that would be fit into one of the Apollo spacecraft stowage lockers. The separate compartments are each specifically labeled with what they were to hold, i.e. "70MM CAM/MAG," 16MM CAM/MAG," SPOTMETER," "16MM MAGS," "5MM LENS," "FLOOD LIGHT," "PWR CABLE," etc. The straps, each labeled, appear to be for easy lifting from the stowage container. The soft, latex-like material and the fitted compartments would have protected the sensitive camera equipment from shock and movement.
