HIGH ALTITUDE FLIGHT GEAR
High Altitude Flight Suit Cover Assembly, CSK-9A/P22S-6, September, 1972 & High Altitude Helmet, HGK-19/P22S-4, September, 1971, both David Clark Co. Inc., orange cloth suit with collar assembly to integrate with helmet, various zippered, Velcro and snap openings and pockets, size "medium short"; molded fiberglass helmet with movable visor and independently movable sunshade, communication lines, microphone, with two nylon bags, one of which with David Clark Co. Inc. label.
THE IMPROVED VERSION OF THE the A/P22S-2, which had been used by pilots of high altitude aircraft such as the North American X-15 and the Lockheed U-2. The A/P22S-6 included a number of improvements that were made to satisfy Military Airlift Command (MAC) requirements. See: Jenkins, Dennis R.
