4to. Diagrams. Publisher's quarter cloth and printed wrappers. Covers rubbed and slightly soiled.
Provenance: Winifred S. Jonas, ENIAC/EDVAC/ORDVAC programmer at BRL.
The first volume only of the technical report on the ENIAC, but including a detailed overview of the system including a brief overall description, the components, programming, general operational details, the various circuits, various problems and examples, the IBM punch card reader system, the master programmer, etc. Written by Adele K. Goldstine, wife of Dr. Herman Goldstine, the administrator of the ENIAC. Adele Goldstine was one of the instructors at the Moore School of Engineering who trained some of the original six women programmers of the ENIAC.
