Nature. Volumes 157 and 158, 1946.
2 volumes bound in 3. Each volume with early articles on the ENIAC. Volume 157 bound in yellow buckram; Volume 158 bound as 2 volumes, in quarter gray buckram and marbled boards. Shelfwear.
Provenance: Rockefeller Medical Library, Institute of Neurology, and library of the Zentralamt für Forschung und Technik, German Democratic Republic (library stamps); Estate of Serge Roubé.

Early scholarly articles of the first general purpose electronic computer including "The ENIAC, an Electronic Computing Machine," by D.R. Hartree in October 12, 1946. The October 26, 1946 issue also includes a piece on the Harvard Mark I: "Babbage's Dream Comes True," a review of the first volume of the Harvard University Computation Laboratory Annals.
