4to (241 x 184 mm). 19 engraved folding plates. 18th century mottled calf, rebacked, spine gilt. Bound without sectional title to Tractatus de quadrature curvarum, early marginalia mainly to front flyleaves, faint dampstain to first signature, occasional instances of foxing, boards rubbed, but generally a very good copy.
Provenance: Liber Bibliotheca Mathematica Jac. Skene, 1794 [James Skene 1775-1864?] (inscription to title); Evan McLachlin, Sept. 22. 1809 (ownership inscription to title); David Williamson (ownership signature to title and flyleaf); John Edward Aloysius Steggall [1855-1935] (bookplate).
