Rariorum Plantarum Historia. Antwerp: Plantin, 1601.
Folio (347 x 204 mm). Engraved title-page, over 1000 botanical woodcut illustrations in the text.
Provenance: "Joseph Corphuz(?), 1662" (ink note to endpaper); "G.F., Medici, 1747" (ink note opposite title page).

FIRST COLLECTED EDITION, including the first edition of the first work on fungi, Fungorum Historia, "one of the first published monographs of its kind" (Hunt). This copy conforms to the Arents copy described in Hunt; i.e., without a portrait but with the "Privilegium" leaf. Nissen BBI 372; Hunt 180.
