Momoyama (1573-1615) and Edo period (1615-1868), 16th to 18th century
The first Akasaka type, chiseled in positive openwork with paulownia on a trellis; the second mokkō (four-lobed) with four openwork crests and flowering vines in brass inlays; the third a small oval plate for a tantō with a landscape in copper overlays; the fourth circular with an openwork design of matsukawabishi (pine-bark crests) in oval reserves; the fifth a Hizen-Canton type with stylized dragons; the sixth circular with an openwork design of geese in flight below clouds (6)
