Of 62 russet-iron plates, each with 31 standing rivets, diminishing in size as they approach the crown and ending at the apex forming a fan-shaped space surrounding the unadorned tehen, the bowl mounted with a five-lame iron shikoro decorated in textured black lacquer with large fukigaeshi, signed illegibly on the interior rear Sōshū no jū Ie[], the front with a brass and silvered kuwagata-style maedate
