Meiji (1868-1912) or Taisho (1912-1926) era, late 19th/early 20th century
Comprising two black-lacquer bows fortified with bamboo wraps at regularly spaced intervals lacquered red; a group of 28 arrows of various length and an additional set of ten arrows with red-lacquer shafts, all in a two-tier wood storage box; a doeskin archery glove and a support to hold arrows while using the bow, with a storage bag for the bows (43)
