Kitae (forging pattern): itame hada in jinie
Hamon (tempering pattern): suguha with konie and ashi
Bōshi (tip): notare, komaru
Nakago (tang): ubu with kiri file marks, three holes and gold-inlaid signature Bingo no kuni Mihara no jūnin Kai Masamune saku
Habaki (collar): one-piece, copper
Nagasa (length from tip to beginning of tang): 27 3/8in (69.6cm)
Motohaba (width at start of tempered edge): 1 1/16in (2.7cm)
Sakihaba (width before tip): 1 3/32in (2.1cm)
