Circular, chiseled in relief with a tiger, bamboo, rocks, stream, and waves, signed Sano Naonobu with a kaō (cursive monogram; Haynes 06742); with a Tokubetsu Hozon Tōsōgu (Sword Fitting Especially Worthy of Preservation) certificate # 2002027 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kyōkai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword) dated October 31, 2014, and with a wood storage box (2)
